LONE ROCK NRA CAMPGROUND

Lone Rock CG
We camped one very hot afternoon and evening at Lone Rock Campground, a National Recreation Area facility on the west shore of Lake Powell outside of Page just across the Utah border. Five dollars (old folks rate) for primitive camping on the sandy beach or in the dunes anywhere we could park the rig. New washroom facilities with outdoor showers were provided, but no hookups and no reservations accepted. It was hotter than blazes and we toughed it out in the shade of the RV, reading until the sun went down.
