Galena Summit is purported to offer one of the most scenic panoramas in all the Rockies. This day the clouds formed a low and solid ceiling obscuring the crown jewels. The headwaters of the wild Salmon River are in the mountains surrounding these meadows, which stretch northwards towards Stanley.
