Running Eagle Falls was once known as Trick Falls because it flows over the top
during spring runoff and hides the lower falls, where the water emerges right
thru a huge hole in the rock. It was renamed in honor of a great Blackfoot warrior –
a woman – who came here to find her vision.
On the way back to the trailhead I saw a black bear momma with her two cubs,
one of which was black and the other cinnamon.
