Leadville sits on the west flank of the Mosquito Range, at an elevation of 10,200'.
The town of Fairplay is about 15 miles due east, on the other side of the range. This view overlooks Turquoise Lake. I stayed two nights in the Baby Doe campground on the northeastern shore of the lake (far left side). |
