Just south of Boulder, Utah, the Highway 12 Scenic Byway climbs up a ridge of slickrock,
and suddenly you find yourself on the knife’s edge. The ridge is so narrow, that there’s
only room for you and the other lane of traffic. Not even any guardrails, with both sides dropping
off into these deep canyons. They call it the Hogback, and this section of road is only a
couple of miles long, so it’s over before you even catch your breath from the excitement.
