The 1-mile trail straddles distinctly different canyons on either side. This is Whirlpool Canyon to the west, and Echo Park is to the east.

From the visitors center outside Dinosaur, Colorado, it’s a 25-mile drive
to the park boundry. From there it’s another 6 miles to the
end of the road, where the fantastic Harpers Corner Trail begins.
