Steamboat Rock
Steamboat Rock During his famous river explorations, John Wesley Powell frequently would climb out of the canyons to better survey the surroundings. When Powell found himself trapped on a tiny ledge unable to move without risk of falling, Bradley stripped off his long underwear, dangled them down to Powell, and pulled him up to safety.
