The photography
I was much more thrilled with the weather than with the way some of the
pictures turned out. Whether it was the camera, film, developing or just
the lighting I don’t know. Some pictures taken in the early morning with
the sky much brighter that the scenery make the sky appear white. Some pictures
taken in the afternoon appear washed out, again the photos make this appear
worse than I enjoyed in person. On the other hand, it might take a professional
photographer years to fully capture the splendor of this area. And then again,
there’s no way that pictures could ever fully capture the magnitude of the scenery.
While I was there I emphasized the experience and not the picture taking,
and only hope this web site will give you an idea of what it would be like to
actually be there.
