Chateau Lake Louise Chateau Lake Louise from the far end of the lake. Rooms on this side of the hotel cost an amazing $500 per night. The ones on the other side are a mere $300. The first chalet on this site was built by the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1890 and was added onto frequently until 1924 when the whole place burned down. The main part of the current structure was built at that time, with wings added later.
