Wupatki National Monument
Wupatki National Monument This is the Wupatki Pueblo from which the monument takes its name. It was built on top of a sandstone outcropping, was three stories high, and contained 100 rooms. It was the largest building in a 50-mile area, and was the center of a large farming community beginning in the 1100s until it was abandoned around 1300.
