Contemporaries of the Anasazi, the pre-historic Sinagua Indians inhabited this area of central
Arizona from about 600-1400 AD. The civilization peaked around 1200, during which time this
five-story, 20-room structure was built. Situated nearly 100 feet above the floor of the Verde Valley,
it is located about 17 miles south of Sedona.
