Maroon Bells
Maroon Bells The glacially formed valley is so popular, that access from mid-June through Labor Day is limited to a shuttle bus system.

The distinctive color of the rock, which lends its name to the area, is evident in this view. The shale is rich in iron, which literally rusts causing iron oxide, resulting in the deep red color. Rusty Bells just doesn’t have quite the same ring to it.
